My name is Fernanda Weinstein and I have been an architect since 2008, graduated from the Andrés Bello University in Chile. That same year I moved to Panama, where I began my professional career in BT Architects, gaining experience in luxury residential, office, retail and hospitality projects - including a large-scale hotel and casino.
Those early years taught me the value of hard work, collaboration and precision. Eventually, however, I realized that, although I loved architecture in all its forms, my true passion was in creating spaces that dialogue with nature, places where people can feel belonging, calm and deep connection.
At 2017 the seed of Arquidea in Panama City. From its beginnings, the project evolved into the tropical and rural design, allowing me to fully explore my vision: homes that respect and celebrate their environment, The new buildings are designed to meet the needs and dreams of the people who live in them.
During the last eight years, I have had the privilege of designing and supervising the construction of numerous homes, learning firsthand the subtleties of tropical and rural living - where resilient and conscious design is essential in the face of climate challenges. Each project has been a journey of discovery, teaching me not only about materials, construction and retrofitting, but also about the deep relationship between people and their environment.
After years of constant work and dedication, I recently indulged myself in a four-month sabbatical - a time to pause, reflect and refocus. That period became a silent but powerful turning point, where I reconnected with the reasons that led me to become an architect: creating beauty with purpose, working in harmony with the earth, and living with integrity and balance.

Today, Arquidea enters a new stage - rooted in the presence, craftsmanship and conscious creation. I focus on fewer projects, so that each one gets the care, creativity and intention it deserves. This clarity of purpose has led to the Arquidea rebirtha studio dedicated to the production of regenerative designs that honor both the people and the place.
At Arquídea we innovate with natural and sustainable materials, as the earth and lime, creating spaces functional, timeless and harmonically integrated with its environment. Each project is born from a well-tended “seed” that grows into a lasting and meaningful habitat, guided by experience, experimentation and a deep understanding of how we inhabit tropical landscapes.
